Is Cettire Legit?
Yes, Cettire is a legitimate business offering designer goods at great prices. The company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2020, and operates in the "gray market," selling items without manufacturer consent. Cettire doesn’t have any stock, but gets goods from third parties.
This means items don’t come with the same guarantees or warranties as those bought directly from the manufacturer or an authorized retailer. For example, you don’t get the original package even if you spend thousands on a bag. Therefore, some customers say that buying from Cettire is a gamble.
Customers can indeed expect to receive their orders. However, it's crucial to note that some customers have reported issues concerning the authenticity of the products received, which is a concern that the brand needs to address to maintain its reputation in the luxury fashion space.
Additionally, the return and refund process seems to be a challenge. Once you receiv flawed products and want to return them, you may find it hard to reach out to the customer service. Their customer service are described as a nightmare and you may have to get your bank to go after your money because getting refund is difficult.
Therefore, we don’t recommend purchasing from Cettire. There is a chance that everything goes on well and save the money. But once you get faulty goods, you have to suffer from bad experience. And the money you save is not worth it, not to mention that some people never get the refund back. After spending that much, why not pay a little more to ensure the 100% authenticity and excellent customer service? There are too many reliable retailers out there, like Farfetch, Ssense, and Italist.
Authenticity/Quality
★★☆☆☆ 2 stars
The primary concern for customers shopping on Cettire revolves around the authenticity of the products. Cettire is not directly authorized by manufacturers and instead, sources its goods from supposed authorized third-party retailers. This leaves customers in a state of uncertainty, as they are left to determine the authenticity of the products themselves.
Price
★★★★☆ 4 stars
The prices varies greatly depending on the product and time of purchase. Some customers have had positive experiences, finding great discounts and competitive prices on designer items.
Returns & Refunds
★☆☆☆☆ 1 star
Cettire's return and exchange policy is, unfortunately, somewhat lacking in flexibility and convenience. While they offer a return period of 14 days from the date the parcel is received, the brand does not entertain exchanges.
The return process is rather stringent, requiring items to be new, unused, and with all original designer tags attached. This extends to shoes, which must be returned in their original boxes, and skincare and cosmetics, which must be unopened with an unbroken seal. The responsibility for return shipping fees falls on the customer, adding an additional inconvenience.
Customer Service
★☆☆☆☆ 1 star
Cettire's customer service, seems to be very unsatisfying. Customers have expressed dissatisfaction over the perceived lack of urgency and personalized attention. There’s no phone number to call, and the only way to contact them is to fill a inquiry form and wait for the reply. But they respond to emails even in weeks. You have to emailed multiple times to get the real help, which is very annoying.
