I used to be a marine biologist at a large state aquarium. Marineland biological pumps have been around for a long time. I have been using them in salt and freshwater pots, ranging in size from 10 to 200 gallons. All of this works perfectly, and I will continue to use them as the primary and secondary systems. They are far better than anything except the tank system, but in some ways they are better than tank filters because they are easy to maintain. Any day, I would choose 3-4 at a time, rather than a single system. To put it simply, one falls (breaks) and the other still keeps your tanks clean and filtered. Please read! Your fish and you will be happier and make others dizzy. Advantages: 1) you don't have to turn it off. Pull out the cartridge, flush the new cartridge with distilled water, and slowly put it back into the formed slot. No shut-off valve, sealing ring / O-ring sensor, etc. 2) they are quite quiet, but when the water level drops below a certain point, they make "bubbling noise". Typically, it is just below the flat part of the exit. It doesn't hurt him or the fish, and if it does, it just gets the "noisy" waterfall sound that some people think it's soothing. Keeping the water level high is a good thing, and remember, those biological wheels add oxygen to the water. The jar won't. They are easy to repair unless the actual motor is broken. Wheels, sticks? Clean rollers and slots. 5 minutes impeller stop? Try to pull and clean the surface of the magnet and cavity; also work for 5 minutes. You do have.

We recently found an unplanned fish, so I need a cheap filter to quickly process a 10-gallon fish tank. I also want a relatively quiet one. This is the cheapest one, and the comments are relatively good, so I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did! After plugging in the power supply, it made a noise for a few seconds, but then completely silent. It only takes a few minutes to clean up the water. Finally, the current is strong enough to circulate through the tank without pushing the fish back and forth. I recommend using a standard pen, the size of which is shown in the figure

I was looking for a replacement for my old water filter, and after looking at my options, Marineland stood out for me. I have to admit, I'm a little worried about the comments complaining about the noise. Looking at the instructions, I noticed that Marineland simplified the guide, covering four modules in English and French, all of which were on an A4 flyer. Fortunately, even with all this detailed information, it does not affect how easy it is to put them together. We don't really want to know what the intake filter in the middle did, or where the impeller I should check is. So far, it's working well, it's really quiet. It's actually a lot quieter than my water. The goldfish didn't complain.

I've been looking for some filters for our PetSmart Top Fin 3.5 gallon aquarium and bought them. Although they were not 100% perfect (I had to fold the black label), they got the job done! They are a good price, much cheaper than PetSmart. I will buy them again and do the folding tag method to save some $. Strong advice!

Model number: 110. Water tank: 90 gallons of brine Fowler tank. I run 110, as well as two hanging Aqua-C Remora protein skimmers (original, medium model). I have two 8-9 inch fish, both bought in 1988, and now I'm 30 years old. My right leg has limited ability to move, so the puddle under the tank is difficult for me to manage. Instead, I rely on large on-hook (hot) products that I have access to. I believe the flow of 110 is the highest of any heat filter on the American market. I use the included sponge filter and ceramic medium and add a mesh bag with PhosGuard to absorb phosphate. Nitrate runs 20, so my skimmer is fully cleaned after two big fish, while AquaClear keeps the particles reduced and the water clear. I wash it only when the flow rate slows down, that is, every four to six months. Because my local fish store doesn't have replacement parts, I bought a second 110 unit, which can be used for parts if necessary. So far, after five years of use, the only non-original component currently running in the filter is the U-shaped siphon, which broke (not a defect) because I fell. You can buy some separate parts online, but the cost is cumulative, and it makes sense for me to buy a complete part (though sitting in the original box in the garage) because you can get any parts you need right away. When I bought the second unit, the price of 110 was $20 lower than it is today, so it was a good deal for me.

It makes my 5-gallon tank very clean, but I hope it's not so noisy. I actually trimmed a wine cork to fix the siphon in place, which solves a lot of noise, but I think a little thoughtful project can easily solve the problem.

At first I bought this for a Betta tank, but it was a disaster. Just like he did in the movie Twister, blowing around the poor fish. But I'm a crazy fisherman with a bunch of fish tanks, so it's sure to go somewhere. I use this in my 10-gallon quarantine box right now. I filled it with my own filtered dental floss and ceramic rings. The container is generous in size, so I fit two layers of dental floss and a lot of biological rings. I don't use biological wheels. It spins too fast, but maybe that's because I have too much of my own media in it. In any case, I just don't think it's necessary or all effective, but I don't know too much. I use it in a bare bottom tank, so I can prove that it works effectively, keeping the water column clean, free of debris and sticky matter. The water tank is pure, transparent and has no adjustable flow, which is terrible. So I can't let you use it on something less than 10 gallons. If you have a 10-gallon tank, if the fish don't need static water like Beta, this filter will be good. If you have a 10-gallon tank, the filter will be fine, you can turn it off, it's convenient.) It will flip the water 10 times an hour, and I saw it with my own eyes, and it does a good job of keeping a clean water tank!

In short: it worked. Buy it! Long version: I've been waiting for weeks to write my comments because I don't want to leave a bad comment if it really has to work. Before I bought this, my 55-gallon tank was rough. I once had a huge algae boom in the past and bought another UV disinfector (Sun Brand, I think.) It worked, it washed the water, but a few months later, it stopped pumping and spurted out a black substance, which was undoubtedly bad for my fish. When the algae gets so bad again, I want to buy another disinfector, but I don't want to buy the old one. I took the opportunity to buy this little guy. My only regret is that I didn't spend an extra $10 on a bigger UV disinfector. If your tank is larger than 40 gallons, I would recommend a larger watt disinfector. Anyway. This still works! My tank went from being able to see the fish inside to being as clear as crystal. My tank is in such a bad situation, attached is that after 5 back-to-back water changes, it is still dreadfully cloudy. After I changed the water a billion times, I let the little guy in (I tried to make the disinfector as simple as possible). I noticed a small change, but it was still cloudy. Two weeks later I was disappointed because it was not as clear as the last time I used the disinfector (note that when I first used the disinfector, the water tank was not that bad). One morning I woke up and walked in.

It works very well and flows like a proper filter. I can't hear it running.-it's too quiet. If you need a filter of 2.5 gallons or more, it's perfect. I have a 2.5 gallon of my Berta, the flow is perfect, and will not disturb the water so much. He is a good swimmer. Keep the water clean, too. I love it! I'll buy some more! It's good to keep the lid, too.

This is a good Betta filter with some modifications. The filter is small and inconspicuous. It suits my 1.5 gallon isolation tank and my 3 gallon tank. I pop up the back of each filter element and insert a ceramic medium at the top and the sponge stays at the bottom. After cycling, sponges and ceramics rinse in old tank water every few weeks (never use tap water) so that beneficial bacteria don't die. I can insert a carbon pad and a lower sponge and change the carbon every other week. Plastic ink cartridges never need to be replaced. I just put my back again and secure it with a rubber band before bouncing back into the bracket! My fighting fish is not bothered by soft bubbles and even likes to rest on it. Bubbles interfere enough with 3 gallons or the surface under the tank. I'm glad. I now have the basic 3 stages filtered for my beta.
