I know my title sounds too dramatic, but I'm not kidding. I have a Teele whisper pump, which is said to be quiet, and the difference between it and this Uniclife is day and night. My 20H tank is in my office, three feet from my desk. I decided to add an air stone to my main-peacock fish tank because they were staying at the top of a considerable amount of air, despite my Aqua clear 50 HOB filter. So, adding gas stones really helped peacock fish, and they immediately stopped swallowing air from the top; so I knew I had to deal with gas stones for them and be afraid of noise. Sure enough, I tried the music pump. I thought I was going crazy. I was too loud. I use one of the 4 "blue / green bar tones for reference. The combination is deafening. I can't even think of doing my job. I know I have to try something else. This is great. I put about 3 inches of aviation hose on both sockets and used a check valve on each socket, then connected them to the T joint, and connected the long aviation pipe to the T joint on the other side, and then connected to the air stonework. " 。 (thanks to reviewer A.Colbert above for explaining how to do this.) Of course, I can hear a slight hum, there's nothing wrong with it, and even once you hear it, it's obvious (I forgot that when I was typing), and it came from someone who was easily irritated by the noise. I set the air flow at about half, even at the highest setting.

I've been keeping aquariums for 45 years, and these special air pumps are not completely "quiet," but as quiet as possible-unless, of course, you put the pump in an adjacent room and then put the tubing through the wall and into the tank. Don't laugh, it's actually very common for serious aquariums to like foam and can't stand noise. You see, over the years, I have had almost all the popular and affordable air pumps, none of which is "silent". Many people are downright aggressive. The quietest thing is to avoid using air pumps altogether, but if you're like me, you just can't do without those beautiful bubbles-and by the way. Bubbles are unnecessary in a properly stored and filtered tank-then these whisper air pumps are by far the quietest. However, you will still find yourself adjusting and repositioning these from time to time, just to "eliminate" the noise. This is just a fact of life for an aquarium air pump owner, and I now have three of these special pumps running in the house. Two of them are over three years old and still strong. I can tell you that they are a huge improvement over traditional "box" pumps, most of which almost shake off the pictures on the wall. I found that one trick to making the sound of any pump weaker is to put it on an old, thick, soft mouse pad. If you need to cut it to suit the specific space you have, this is fine. I did it for the whisper pump in the bedroom, it does calm people down.

I did a good job. At first, I was worried that the flow was a little too much for Betta, so I came up with a way to reduce bubbles because the pump itself was not set. Just take a pushpin and poke a string of holes in the pipe next to the pump. They give you a lot of pipes, so if you screw up, just cut that part off and try again. This section is optional, but you can tie a loose knot in the tubing so that it covers some holes and adjusts the coverage / tension until you get the bubble flow you want. (but don't pinch, it's not good for the pump)

I ordered the pump because I was tired of my current pump, and although it was advertised as a quiet pump, it was too loud. I can't believe this pump is so quiet. If it hadn't been for the bubble, you wouldn't have known it was on. I'm going to order more of these because they only have two lines, and I really need four. At this point, the air stone works very well, and they include two very long, very soft pipes. I hope the tubing doesn't curl because its material is very soft and flexible. My only comment is that the pump is very powerful. This is usually a good thing, but even at a minimum, it creates a strong bubble. I will open an additional valve because one of my tanks is for injured / bitten / sick fish, and I want to provide a mild environment for these fish. For a small pump, it does have a lot of attraction. I can't believe it!

I really hate all diaphragm-based pumps. I have 3 'Hagrid quiet mini air pump aquarium 1.5 watt oxygen fish air pump 1-15 gallon fish tank with accessories' because they have a quieter piezoelectric design. A smaller Hygger pump is not enough to run multiple larger tanks, although (20gal +) for my 20 gallons, I ran an $89 Eheim tank filter. To be honest, this pump may be able to run all my tanks at the same time. Right now, I'm seriously considering running two 20-gallon tanks on this pump. This would cost about $20 per can instead of the $180 I might pay (lilies + cans). In the test, I compared the velocity of Deloitte 40 with the db (volume). I made a small wooden box full of acoustic foam in an attempt to suppress the noise of the diaphragm pump I had tried before. The following are the results of my basic test:-Room background noise: 30dB-UPMCT pump, no hose, it is the maximum setting without hose connected, and it is not in my silencer box: 50 db- UPMCT pump, with hose, maximum setting in my silencer: 34DB-UPMCT pump, with hose, minimum setting in my silencer: 32db-Tetra Whisper 40, no hose, Only if the hose is not connected, it is only set without the hose connection, and in my silencer box: 47dbTotal Air Throughput:- UPMCT Pump on max settings-5L/min (enough 150 gallons.

I've been using these pumps for ten years. They are cheap and can be used for about two years. The diaphragm is dried and cracked, and like all rubber products, they are decomposed. They age on the shelves, so try to get yours from a major dealer. The problem is that replacing rubber parts costs as much as a unit. My water plumber oils the diaphragm once a year to keep my diaphragm running longer. They were quiet and the boiling water was louder than the pump. The output is not what the ad says, so I will add a size. Replace the gas stone regularly. The noise of the pump is a sign of back pressure. Keep your old pump parts and I'll lubricate the diaphragm and a socket rupture. If I keep some old ones, I will have an alternative body. This is a quiet, cheap, reliable pump that lasts for two years, and it seems that all other brands are worse. At least AR Tetra and Marineland have someone on the phone.

I originally bought this for use on my ship, but eventually ran it to give my bait tank extra daylight air. I hooked the clip to a small solar panel and let it work like this because oxygen levels dropped the most during the heat of the day. There is nothing wrong with solar panels running it, and although it will be a little difficult to run and release more air when connected to a good fresh battery, I have no problem with my settings. In summary, I am very satisfied with the performance and low power consumption required to run this pump.

Pick up this air pump and run a small sponge filter in my Betta 1.5gal tank. It's like a spell. Super quiet (you have to raise your ears to hear it pumping), very small, and equipped with two gas stones, some air pipes, a check valve and an in-line air control valve. The pump is small, but it can get the job done. The air control valve is super useful for controlling current in my little tank. I found that the pump was not strong enough to run my Imagitarium check valve (the fluid resistance was greater than the check valve that came with the pump), but it matched perfectly with the check valve in the box. The air pipe provided is not used because it looks of low quality, milky white on the surface, does not look very good in the can, and may fall off or fall off, which is different from what I have read in other comments. I use the transparent pipe of Imagitarium, please note that the power cord is not too long. About 4-5 feet. For reference, I connected this to the "Aquatop Aquarium Water products Classic Aquarium filter up to 10 Gal Caf-10" sponge filter. This is a large sponge filter for small fuel tanks. Please buy it again. Very satisfied.

Editor: it seems I have a defective unit. Customer service contacted me and sent me a new one for free. This one works very well and has been very quiet so far! If you happen to get a bad air pump, customer service is great. It's so cute and small that when it works well, it's great-but it usually doesn't. 80% of the time, it makes an incredibly loud and annoying rattling sound. I woke up in the middle of the night from its sudden sound of an ordinary air pump to an unbelievably loud hum. I attached a noise video-you can see when I picked it up, it was good. I haven't found a way to fix it yet, but I've tried to tape it up, wrap it in towels, and so on, because it's only a few weeks old.
