Oak aging barrels of all sizes may leak from the head or stave before and during use and is a normal part of the barrel aging process. Use Thousand Oaks' American Barrel Wax Sealer to manage leakage and prevent alcohol loss from your wooden barrel.

Directions For Use: Find the source of the leak, usually around the barrel head or stave seams. Then, with your finger, apply a small amount of wax into the barrel where the hole or leak is occurring. Push the wax into the hole until leaking stops and wipe away any excess.

If leaking persists, empty the barrel contents into a glass container, fill with hot or boiling water and storing tablet solution and allow to sit for 10 minutes. Repeat wax application as required.
