How to Select Smartwatch Cases for Apple: The Comprehensive Guide
Material
Many cases are made of thermoplastic polyurethane or TPU. It is a polyurethane plastic with some useful properties such as elasticity, transparency, resistance to abrasion, greases, and oils.
The TPU shell is transparent and elastic. Others are made from a combination of polycarbonate and TPU. Polycarbonate adds strength and toughness to the elasticity of TPU. Cases created with joins are usually not transparent.
Band
Straps are included with some watch cases. We are not stuck at this point. You may not need the watch case that the strap is in, as the strap is widely available as an accessory. The strap included in the case may not be removable. So if you are not sure if you are curious about the look and feel of the bracelet, look elsewhere or check that the bracelet is removable.
Protector
The screen protection sheet may not be attached. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Often, people just want a case to keep their watches from hitting everyday items in the office or home, like doorposts or desks.
How often you use it determines if you need a screen protector. The more you wear your watch, the more protection you will need for your screen. If you only use it a few times a day, don't miss out on the screen protector.
If you download a lot of apps and use them frequently more than 20 times a day, it is recommended that you use a screen protector to avoid oil spills and keep your screen smooth and sharp. However, be careful in case the screen protector is incorporated. If you like the case, the included screen protector is like the icing on a cake.
This is pretty common as long as some bumps on the case around the outside of your face. However, depending on whether you're willing to take a little risk, you don't need a screen protector. The screen may still be scratched, but the edges of the case are well protected.
Size
Fortunately, the physical size of your Apple Watch is easy to determine. You can see the size stamped next to the model number on the back of the watch. There are only four possibilities of 38, 40, 42, or 44 mm. There are no other sizes, which are available at the time, but the company may add new dimensions and sizes in the future.
Series
The first thing to consider is which Apple Watch series you have. Some Apple Watch cases are well-matched with Series 1, 2, and 3, but there are exceptions. If the manufacturer does not say that the case is compatible with your watch, the fit may not be ideal.
If you are using Series 4, you may need a different enclosure than the other three series. Make sure you know what you have. They may look almost identical, but the design is slightly different. The stamp on the back of the watch indicates the model number but not the series. You should look up the model number online to determine which series it is.
