SCARLET NEXUS - PlayStation 4

SCARLET NEXUS - PlayStation 4 Cover
SCARLET NEXUS - PlayStation 4

Scarlet Nexus is a fantastic new game/IP from Bandai Namco and comes from the minds of some people behind the Tales of series. It consists of two primary distinct gameplay sections as you progress throughout — alternating back and forth between down time (social bonding, side quests, limited exploration) and combat sections. The characters, animation and art design/aesthetics, the OST, combat, voice acting, and storyline are all excellent in my opinion. The story has had some huge twists and turns I did not see coming, has definitely been dark and held some mature themes. The soundtrack features some seriously catchy tunes as well as beautiful yet somber melodies with piano and strings and also features some adrenaline pumping techno beats. The action in Scarlet Nexus is good, but doesn't really kick into great until about 10 hours in after you've skilled up and unlocked more team-actions.

What We Like
Alternating between two primary gameplay loops
Great characters, animation and art design/aesthetics
Interesting story with huge twists and turns
Catchy soundtrack with beautiful yet somber melodies

Sorting Out the PS4 Japanese Games to Bring Fun to Life

Choosing a PS4 game can be a daunting task, especially when it comes to Japanese games. With so many options available, it can be difficult to know where to start. In this article, we will provide some tips to help you choose the right PS4 Japanese game for you.

First and foremost, consider your interests and preferences. Do you enjoy action-packed games with fast-paced combat, or do you prefer slower-paced games with a focus on story and character development? Do you enjoy games with beautiful, immersive graphics, or do you prefer games with simpler graphics but engaging gameplay?

Once you have a general idea of the type of game you are looking for, it's time to start considering specific titles. There are many websites and forums where you can find reviews and recommendations from other players. Reading these can give you a good idea of the quality and enjoyment level of different games.

Another important factor to consider when choosing a PS4 Japanese game is the language. Many Japanese games are available in both Japanese and English, so if you are not fluent in Japanese, you may want to choose a game that has an English option. However, keep in mind that some games may not have English localization, or may have limited English support. In these cases, it may be worth it to invest in a Japanese language learning guide or app to help you understand the game.

Once you have narrowed down your options, it's a good idea to try out the game before you buy it. Many PS4 games have demo versions available for download, which can give you a taste of the gameplay and help you decide if the game is right for you. You can also watch gameplay videos on websites like YouTube to get a better idea of what the game is like.

Finally, make sure to read the game's ratings and warnings before purchasing. The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rates games based on their content, and provides information about the game's themes, violence, language, and other factors that may be of concern to players. This information can help you make an informed decision about whether a game is appropriate for you.

In conclusion, choosing a PS4 Japanese game can be a challenging but rewarding experience. By considering your interests and preferences, reading reviews and recommendations, and trying out demos, you can find the perfect game for you. Happy gaming!
