Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Do catfish bite soft plastics?

The best lures for catfish are either scented or have noise-making/vibrating components. You can use basic lures like spinners, jigs or soft-plastics and spice them up as needed to attract catfish.

2. Can you catch catfish with artificial bait?

Using what we know as “artificial” baits, like crankbaits and plastics, is seldom the best bet for consistently catching catfish. All three main species of catfish – channel cats, flatheads, and blue catfish – favor natural baits and fish attractants like Team Catfish Dead Red Blood Spray.

3. Do catfish eat topwater?

Cats hit 'hoppers hard and fast, like a largemouth blasting a topwater plug. Within seconds of each cast, you'll be enjoying a rod-bending battle, and watching the action as it happens makes it all unforgettable.
