Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Does Zinus still use fiberglass?

Yes, fiberglass is still present in all Zinus mattresses. If you are looking for a bed without fiberglass, you may consider alternative manufacturers like Amerisleep, which uses silica as a flame barrier. Zinus beds are known for their affordability, but it's important to note that these inexpensive mattresses do contain fiberglass.

2. What is the sturdiest bed frame?

Platform-topped beds, such as divan beds, are considered the sturdiest type of bed frame. These beds have a solid base that provides full support without any gaps. They are designed to be sag-free as there are no support bars that can give way. If you are looking for a sturdy bed frame, platform bases are an excellent choice.

3. What type of bed frame lasts the longest?

For long-lasting durability, it is best to choose a bed frame made primarily of solid materials like solid wood or metal. These options are less likely to break and can withstand more wear and tear over time compared to bed frames made of wood composites or plastics.

4. Is it safe to sleep on a mattress with fiberglass?

Fiberglass can potentially be harmful if you are directly exposed to it. However, the fiberglass woven into the mattress cover should not bother you unless the cover is damaged or removed. According to CEO of Innerbody Research, Eric Rodriguez, fiberglass should not be a concern as long as the mattress is not damaged.
