I picked this up because my heart could no longer bear the pressure of watching our 11-year-old daughter cut bagels with a sawtooth bread knife (both on the screen and such multitasking). I'm gonna have a heart attack, she's gonna cut open her hand, so. I have high expectations, and despite overwhelmingly positive comments, I am worried about the work of the Hoan bagel guillotine. My fears are unfounded. This not-so-small device cuts every bagel, every time-my kids eat two or three bagels there every day. I no longer worry about serious cutting, even if the blade on this thing is sharp! Only advice, like other critics, slice slowly (press down) so as not to squash softer bagels. In addition, it was cut clean and there were no crumbs to speak of-quite satisfied with the purchase. This thing now has a permanent position next to the toaster on our counter, at least until she finishes her bagels. I highly recommend it.

I bought a Kitchenaid mandolin slicer, which asked me to take it and slice it (unprotected fruit / vegetable case). I almost cut my finger off. This is a chaotic use of chaos. I packed it up and returned it to the store at once. The next slicer I bought is OXO Good Gips V-Blade. I have a very small kitchen and very limited storage space, so I'm worried about how much space this will take up in my kitchen drawer. Fortunately, it fits perfectly. It's compact, all the blades are in this device, and the only inconvenient thing is the part in the vegetable (I just threw it in the drawer). Interchangeable blades are very user-friendly (even for clumsy people like me) and are easy to clean and dry. With so many blades and adjustable thickness dials, I've been trying to replace noodles with vegetables and having a good time. I've made zucchini lasagna rolls, sliced vegetables, the popular "Zoodles", and I even sliced apples and dehydrated them in my oven without core. I also made fried noodles with onions. I definitely like this slicer! It has been in use every day since it was purchased. I like the fact that its lock security feature supports itself, so I can keep my hands focused on slices instead of too much coordination, and I can eject different blades in a few seconds. I strongly suggest that if you are trying to find a healthier diet because of using this slice …

Although the device makes cutting a normal bagel a safe and fast movement, it does not handle bagels in New York City (or northern New Jersey). For those who have never experienced NYC/ NNJ bagels, they are really great. Typically, NYC/ NNJ bagels are about 6 "in diameter and about 2" thick, which is too large to fit into this device. The picture is the smallest of a dozen bagels purchased on a recent trip to NNJ. For ordinary bagels, however, it can do so.

Bagels bite in the same way as advertisements say. I like mine. If I need to change it, I will look for this model. That is to say, there are a few things to consider: the blade is sharp. That's why it's a good slicer. It's time to wash up, which is a potential problem. I suggest you brush with a bottle or something, or a scrubber with a handle. In this way, you can have a hard time scrubbing where you reach, even in a curved blade cover that minimizes the risk to your fingers. I hesitated to put it in the dishwasher because the crumbs might stick to the place where the machine couldn't wash it. Other commentators may mention whether the dishwasher is safe or whether they are happy to use the washing machine. Second, most bagel slicers have some kind of shroud or blade cover, which limits the thickness of a suitable bagel. Please note that you will conduct a secure transaction of thickness. My clumsy fingers voted for safety. What these types of slicers have in common again and again is that these types of slicers "bite" or press on bagels. If the bagel is soft or in all glue, it can be squeezed, even if it is cut. To make matters worse, when one or both sides are stuck in the cover. My solution has been not to bite the entire bagel and use the uncut part as a hinge. If the bagel is sent to the toaster, you can still cut or tear the last bite. In case I don't know: I like the bagel occlusal machine. The questions I ask are common to any version of this design. In other designs I've seen.

I happen to think it's just what I need-it's big and bulky, but it can be put in a drawer-I hang my stuff (the hole in the handle) on my sink (I'll cut bagels there anyway). Absolutely like this lid-my bagels are fat, I have no difficulty putting them in-squeeze them if necessary! You have to see (like any knife). It's not electric! It takes about 1-2 to push the saw, 1-2 to pull the saw out the best thing is to keep your hand away from the blade! Thank you!

The failure point of this design of bagel slicer is usually the base. There used to be two cracks in me. I have been looking for a really solid foundation (reinforced by flexible plastic or metal), this slicer uses the same brittle plastic as other slicers (easy to crack). However, this one is narrower than the others, reducing leverage and reducing the likelihood of rupture. Time will tell.

The great bagel slicer is easy to use. It could be a little wider.

This bagel cutter is just the right size, easy to use and clean. I also use it to cut hamburgers and rolls. I bought this after cutting off another small piece of meat from my finger while cutting a bagel. I can keep the bagel still using this green on both sides and keep my meat on my fingers. Great product!

After several serious accidents in cutting bagels, I am looking for a safe solution. This bagel slicer is one of the best things I have ever bought. If I could give it a higher score, I would. It cuts the oversized Costco bagel into thin slices like hot butter. I can't believe it. It is also compact, sits on the counter next to the toaster, slides easily, safely places the blade in a position that will not be accidentally touched, and is easily loaded into the top shelf of the dishwasher. I'm sure I'll buy more of these slicers as Christmas gifts for my family. If you eat bagels, I highly recommend this slicer as an essential kitchen equipment.
