2. Does HIPS work with PLA?

You can as PLA is not affected by Limonene (the chemical used to dissolve the HIPS) but it is not recommended as the print temperatures for each material (~180C for PLA and ~230C for HIPS) are quite far apart and the PLA may not stick to the HIPS.

3. Can Ender 3 print HIPS filament?

Printing temperature: HIPS prints at 230-245 °C, making it fair game for all of the Ender 3s. Build plate temperature: This material requires a high temperature, 100-115 °C, for good adhesion. This is pushing the envelope in terms of the Ender 3 configuration, but it's certainly doable.

4. Is HIPS toxic to print?

Toxic odors while printing: like ABS, HIPS emits fumes while 3D printing, and therefore you must store your 3D printer in a well-ventilated area or room while printing. Warping: therefore, you must use a heated bed and chamber to minimize warping and cracking between layers.
