Olive & June Long Lasting Polish ★★★★

Pros

  • Good coverage in one coat
  • Fast drying time
  • Beautiful color range

Cons

  • May dry too quickly or be too thick for some
  • Some colors are tricky to apply

Olive & June Long Lasting Polish tends to dry quickly, which can be a plus for those on the go, although some might find it a bit too thick for easy application. It is recommended to apply 2-3 thin coats, waiting 5-10 minutes between each for the best results. With the right application technique, this polish can last up to 10 days without chipping, a significant improvement over other brands.

In comparison to other brands like Essie and OPI, Olive & June offers faster drying times and a more opaque finish. However, the brand does require a bit more patience and skill during application due to its thickness.

Olive & June Press-On Nails ★★★

Pros

  • Curved cuticles/nail beds fit well.
  • Lasts for seven to ten days.
  • Thick, sturdy, and do not bend.
  • Affordable and easy option.

Cons

  • Sizing issues for some.
  • Takes time to find the right size.
  • May cause pain if not the right size.

Olive & June Press-On Nails are a popular choice for those looking for an affordable and easy-to-use alternative to salon manicures.

It's important to note that the nails may require some trial and error to find the perfect fit, particularly for those with unique nail shapes or conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. However, once the right size is found, you'll find the nails to be comfortable and natural-looking.

These dry drops are quite similar to recklessly spilling olive oil on my fingers, the table, and everything else in the vicinity. The opaque bottle serves as the "dropper," giving you zero control over the quantity that comes out or its direction. It's extremely oily and turns everything around into a mess, so I have to keep not just my nails but my whole hands away from all surfaces until I can clean them. I've given these a try around twelve times now, watched all the instructional videos, but they're just too messy to handle.

I absolutely love this brand of press-on nails! I have bought them more than 25 times. I always have a set ready for those times when I can't get to the nail salon. Honestly, it's been a long time since I've visited a salon because these nails are such a great substitute!

Some reviews say that they don't fit well, but I've had the exact opposite experience. My cuticles and nail beds are curved, and these nails fit me perfectly. The first time I used them, I did feel some discomfort, similar to what other reviews mention. But I realized it was because I was using the wrong sizes. It might take a couple of tries to find the perfect fit for your nails. I haven't experienced any discomfort since.

These nails last me at least a week, sometimes even ten days! I'm quite rough on my nails since I have a toddler at home and I'm always doing household chores. But these nails are thick, sturdy, and they don't bend like other press-on nails I've tried before.

Firstly, this polish is not designed to be applied in a single coat. If you follow the preparation steps, you will achieve stunning nails both with and without polish. It's crucial to remember to apply 2-3 thin coats, pausing for 5-10 minutes between each coat, and then finish with the top coat.

Typically, my polishes start to chip within a day and at most, two days. However, my first manicure with O&J lasted 10 days with only a minor chip and slightly worn tips - I was astounded. I initially tried CV from Target because I wanted to test it before ordering from their website. Three days into my first manicure, I realized this product was excellent and went ahead to buy 4 from the website during a Black Friday sale.

Master the O&J method and you'll adore it! Their customer service is exceptional and they'll respond to any queries you have on their Instagram. However, bear in mind that shipping directly from them has been quite slow, so consider that if you plan to order directly from them.

The product turns thick and hard to apply on the nail after a brief period. I initially thought it was due to my storage method or shaking it, but the same issue occurred with the second bottle after a short time.

I frequently paint my nails, so the product doesn't sit idle for months. The last few times I used it, it spoiled my manicure. Moreover, it fails to shield my nails from chipping. I use it with Olive and June polish and even higher quality polish, adhering to all the advice from O&J, but my nails start chipping within a few days.

When it comes to light, opaque colors, Rosy Tips does a commendable job of providing coverage in a single coat, without any streaking issues.

After applying two coats, I find the color very appealing. However, I wish it was slightly thinner to make the application process easier. It seems to dry a bit too fast or the texture is too thick to get the perfect stroke needed for an excellent manicure. I used this with an OPI base coat and top coat.

Comparing this to Essie, the drying time is quicker. I find Essie's shades like Mademoiselle, Sugar Daddy, and Vanity Fair quite attractive, with their semi-sheer neutral pink tones. But their drying time is unpredictable.

In comparison to OPI Bubble Bath, it's less translucent and has a stronger pink tone. The drying time and application process are similar. OPI can also be thick at times. If it lasts for 10 days without any chips, I consider it a success.

My main concern is nail growth, so I prefer lighter colors. Regardless of the brand or color, a top coat is what makes a manicure last longer. So far, I'm really liking this cheerful, semi-neutral pink shade for spring/summer. I'll use it occasionally, but I still have a soft spot for my Essie colors, even if they require a bit more patience.
