Biaggi Collection Reviews

Zipsak

biaggi zipsak

The Biaggi Zipsak collection, while designed with good intentions, seems to fall short in a few key areas. The collection is advertised as easy to fold up and travel with, and indeed, when in its smaller form, it is lightweight and great for a simple carry-on. Additionally, its ability to attach to larger luggage makes it an excellent companion for those traveling with more than one piece of luggage.

However, the Zipsak collection has been found to have several shortcomings. When expanded to its larger form, the bag becomes unstable and prone to tipping over, despite multiple attempts at repacking. This instability can cause significant inconvenience during travel, especially in busy airports.

Furthermore, the wheels on the Zipsak collection are difficult to extend, causing delays and frustration. Once the wheels are extended, the bag has been found to be lop-sided, making it challenging to roll smoothly.

The handles on the Zipsak are also a point of contention. They are uncomfortable, making it a chore to drag the bag through long concourses, especially for people who have bad shoulders. The strap length is another issue, particularly for taller individuals, as it does not allow for easy pulling on various airport flooring types.

In conclusion, while the Biaggi Zipsak collection offers some desirable features such as lightweight construction and compact storage, it seems to have significant drawbacks in terms of stability, wheel functionality, and comfort of use. Therefore, it may not provide good value for the money, especially considering its flimsiness and unstable strap.

Trolley Luggage

biaggi trolley luggage

The bag is easy to unpack and repack, making it a potential favorite for frequent travelers. The spacious and light design, coupled with easy-to-reach compartments, makes it a practical choice for international travel. Some models fit comfortably in overhead compartments or underseat, offering an advantage over traditional backpacks, especially for those concerned about back health.

However, the collection seems to have the same issues with the Zipsack. The trolley is not easy to push along the side, reminiscent of the difficulty one might encounter pushing a wheelbarrow. The stability of the luggage appears to be compromised, with a tendency to tip forward, which could potentially cause tripping or falling.

The pull handle's length is another area of concern. It appears to be too short for comfort, making the bag difficult to maneuver. This positioning of the luggage too close to the feet could again lead to tripping, making it a potential safety hazard.

Packing Cubes

biaggi packing cubes

The Biaggi Packing Cubes are an exceptional travel accessory for any frequent flyer or vacationer. These phenomenal bags are both sturdy and spacious, capable of accommodating an impressive amount of clothing. They effortlessly hold up to four pairs of jeans and five blouses, making packing and unpacking a breeze.

The Biaggi Packing Cubes are designed with two distinct sides, allowing for easy organization and identification of contents. Despite their higher price point, the value they offer in terms of convenience and organization is immeasurable.

The Biaggi Packing Cubes come with smooth-running zippers that do not jam, and closing the cube does not require any force or pressure. In conclusion, the Biaggi Packing Cubes are a well-made, high-quality travel storage solution that offers excellent value for money, despite their higher price point.

The bag size of 22 inches is suitable for carry-on only if you're flying with American airlines. It's considered too large for European airlines.

It would be significantly more convenient if there was a telescoping handle that could adapt to either size, as it's not very comfortable to pull when it's in the underseater size. It tends to twist and tip when being pulled using the strap. Extracting the wheels proved to be quite a challenge and I have no intention of zipping them in again. The wheel compartment doesn't serve much purpose. I would prefer an underseater with a telescoping handle and wheels that fully function, rather than a product that converts into two products but has compromised functionality.

The quality is excellent and I'm really fond of the purple color. It surpassed my expectations when I unpacked it. I'm a big fan of the numerous pockets, which are very well-designed. Even the bottom has storage space for items like flip flops. I'm eager to use it for my upcoming weekend getaway to a sunny state.

UPDATE: I couldn't be more pleased! After spending a week in a sunny state, this bag outperformed my expectations. The bag was well within the personal item size limits of both Spirit and Frontier Airlines. I encountered no problems whatsoever. This is now my go-to bag for short trips. It's the best purchase I've made from an online marketplace this year.

To provide some context, I have a great deal of experience with travel and packing, having flown frequently for a decade prior to my recent retirement. I'm familiar with packing cubes and know the ins and outs of travel. However, this product has been a letdown.

Firstly, I found it incredibly time-consuming to extend the wheels. Secondly, despite my packing expertise, the bag is consistently off-balance when I attempt to roll it. Thirdly, the "handles" are extremely uncomfortable when hauling the bag down a terminal.

Furthermore, Biaggi's return policy leaves a lot to be desired. You can't truly assess the product until you've packed it and used it, and by the time I did, it was just past the return window due to my purchase during an early holiday sale. To add insult to injury, when I voiced my dissatisfaction, they had the audacity to suggest that I didn't know how to pack!

I would advise against discarding the packaging as soon as you receive it because you might end up with non-functional luggage like I did. It's incredibly unstable and inconvenient to haul around. It constantly tips over and it's quite exasperating! I suggest you give it a trial run immediately upon receipt to understand what I'm referring to. Consider yourself forewarned!

The concept is fantastic, but the execution leaves much to be desired. It's challenging to maneuver it beside me; it feels akin to handling a wobbly wheelbarrow. It tends to tip forward, leading to potential trips and falls. The handle is too short for pulling it behind me, resulting in the case being too close to my feet and once again, increasing the risk of tripping. I believe this product could potentially lead to legal issues. Consequently, I've decided to return it.

I've owned this bag for several years, and generally, I adore it for all the reasons highlighted in the attached video. It can be a tad challenging to maneuver when it's fully loaded and expanded because you need to arrange the heaviest items at the bottom and center to maintain its balance. I usually utilize it as my personal luggage, alongside a hardside carry-on suitcase. So, if I have extra items to bring back, I can check in the hardside, use this as a carry-on, and still manage to carry an additional small bag as my personal item if necessary.

When I first looked at this luggage, I was attracted by its lightweight and adaptability. However, I was a bit apprehensive about the absence of a trolley. Now, after using it for several journeys, both by car and plane, I must admit I'm let down. Indeed, the Zipsak can hold a significant amount of items and its size is impressively adjustable. However, maintaining the balance of the case as it rolls on various surfaces is a challenge. It tends to tip, twist, and I find it difficult to manage. I also purchased the accompanying tote bag, which disappointingly lacks a crossbody strap. Juggling the Zipsak in one hand and the tote in the other is quite a handful. It's especially challenging when you need a free hand for your identification and phone during ticket checks. Despite its convenient foldability, the Zipsak doesn't quite solve the issues encountered while traveling.

What convinced me to purchase was its storage capacity and expandability. I have utilized it for several internal flights throughout the previous year. Being under 5 feet tall, I find no issue in pulling the bag along with me. The adjustable strap enables me to make it just the right length so it doesn't feel like I'm on a leash. It's true, it can become a bit lumpy, so I make a conscious effort to pack it thoughtfully. It can accommodate a substantial amount of items. I genuinely find pleasure in using mine.

The bag only comes with a few cloth handles and even though I extended them as much as possible, due to my height it wasn't the most convenient way to haul the bag around - it sort of felt like walking a dog that constantly stops to sniff or pulls in the opposite direction. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't as efficient as a "drag bag" that comes with a metal handle for a better grip and more control over the bag's movement. It caused discomfort to my problematic shoulder to haul the bag around, especially because it tended to wander on its wheels and was closer to the ground compared to a bag with an extendable handle.

I was genuinely hoping to adore it, based on the features highlighted in the product description. I had the chance to use it during two trips last summer - a brief business trip that lasted two nights and a longer vacation that spanned over 10 days, involving multiple flights and hotel stays. I can now assert, without a doubt, that I detest this bag!

It ranks among the worst travel bags I've ever used. It didn't perform well even on the short trip, constantly tipping over, although I initially attributed this to my packing style. However, during the longer vacation, it became a recurring joke as I had to continually drag it around due to its inability to stand upright. It reminded me of those clips where a dog on a leash takes a couple of steps, lies down, and refuses to budge. Despite experimenting with several packing methods, none seemed to improve the situation.

I've decided not to use it for travelling again. I've heard there's a variant with a conventional metal telescopic handle, which might be an improvement, but I've decided to explore other styles and won't be giving this one another shot

There are numerous advantages: I appreciate the size, it can accommodate a lot, and it has a strap for attaching to a carry-on (which was my primary reason for buying it). It can easily store a week's worth of outfits and conveniently fits under the seat.

However, there's one significant downside: the soft handle. It's practically useless unless the bag is attached to a carry-on. I ended up checking my carry-on for my return trip and used this bag separately. It was a disaster. The strap wouldn't keep the bag straight, it wobbled as I walked, and despite my shorter stature, I had to lean forward with the strap for the wheels to even touch the ground. It was a long, difficult journey down the terminal with the luggage being unmanageable.

It's unfortunate, but for this reason, I won't be using it for air travel in the future. It desperately needs both a trolley handle and a luggage strap. I can't fathom how anyone could utilize it for anything other than as a personal bag. I'm afraid I might have to limit its use to car journeys.

At last, I got their robust, shell-encased spinner. It has a pleasing appearance, I suppose. The front is somewhat flexible, presumably for a purpose. It allows you to fold the top and access your laptop when you're in transit or need to remove it for security checks. The rear features a small zippered section where you can stash snacks and beverages. I suppose that's a clever feature. The dimensions seem accurate, although it appears to be slightly smaller than 22 x 14 x 9 inches, perhaps closer to 8 inches in depth.

Finding items in the main compartment can be a bit challenging, but this bag is fantastic and it truly DOES fit under the seat! It could perhaps use a slightly sturdier outer fabric as it sometimes tips over to the side. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase, and the extra few bucks for express shipping was quite fair and ensured the bag reached me just in time for my journey.

I was extremely optimistic about this bag, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations, despite the impressive concept. Upon using my new bag for the first time (without expanding it), I encountered several issues. I stored my TSA liquids in the front exterior pocket for convenience, and despite filling the main compartment with a camera and clothes, the bag was unbalanced, making it difficult to pull along. It kept tipping over, even when I held the strap upright as if I were parading a show dog. It was quite troublesome.

Moreover, I had hoped that an external pocket at the end would accommodate my water bottle for easy access, but that didn't work out. This seems like a design flaw, considering most people carry water bottles.

Additionally, the snap on the handle wrap, which is supposed to hold the two handles together, refused to stay fastened.

In conclusion, I am left feeling both frustrated and disappointed with this product.
