Narrows the string spacing on guitars with the wider vintage bridge ('50s/'60s/'70s guitars; USA and MIM Reissues; etc). Vintage bridge E-to-E string spacing = 2-7/32", American Standard (mid '80s and later) E-to-E spacing = 2-1/16".
