"I installed a Minky retractable laundry line in 1998 and brought it to my current house 12 years ago. It still works! I replaced it only because the laundry line started to crack after 25 years outdoors in the brutal Texas summer heat. It was super easy to replace. I noticed a wide range of prices for these gadgets, and some are twice the price for just a few feet of line. I also bought a second retractable line from a Chinese brand to compare. While it works fine, the line is visibly thinner and likely less sturdy than the Minky's. For anything heavy, I'd stick with the Minky. Fantastic product! Not much lasts 25 years, but this one did."
