Very reasonable price and good work, however: the specifications on the Amazon web page indicate that it will trim branches up to 3 inches in diameter, while in the manual, the 200 model has a large warning label, note "do not use the BEHT200 trimmer to cut stems larger than 5 inches". Because I rarely (if any) trim such thick branches (and because of the trouble of returning things), I decided to keep it. However, if you need 3 inches of power, you can choose the 300350400 model-or a different brand.

I learned two things from this hedge trimmer: the first impression is not everything. I'm not good at trimming hedges. The products were beaten up and glued together when they arrived. As soon as I opened it, I soon realized that it looked a lot like if someone bought it, used it once, and gave it back. Obviously, when you buy and pay for something new, you expect it to be, uh, new. I think this thing looks really small, too. The 16-inch blade is really not that big, and it looks much smaller in person than I thought. Is it useful to deal with my hedges and anything else I can see through? Considering that I might just return it (it's not new according to statistics), I decided to take it outside and give it a try. Why reorder things that can't get through the fence, or are things too small to deal with? I plugged it into a 50-foot indoor / outdoor all-weather extension line and got it ready in five minutes. It's light, and all you really need to do is connect the shield and plug it in. How's it doing? First of all, it's very light. I liked that it had no weight, but then I realized that maybe a little weight was a good thing. It's almost too easy to move quickly and start in a hurry, even with one hand. Be safe and much slower than you think you can do with two hands. During my hours in the yard, the wires on the road were never a problem. There is no problem pruning my cedar hedge. The leaves, twigs and some thick branches mix well.

That's great! I don't usually leave a comment, but it's much easier than a wired electric trimmer and much lighter than a gas-powered motor trimmer. I've been through it! This battery can last for an hour, if not more, and I've been cutting back on time!

At first, I was a little afraid of battery-powered cutting tools. Not anymore. I used it for two hours before the battery ran out. Charge for less than an hour. I'm still surprised how well it does when cutting branches the size of big fingers. Its power is also very light. I climbed on the high branch with one hand. I'm trying to convince my wife that she uses old-fashioned hedging scissors, and she'll save hours because the tool is light enough for fairer gender use. I'm sorry, if that sounds sexist rather than information.

My father has an electric hedge trimmer. He says it doesn't cut much. I tried it once, and it didn't work. It's more like massaging the bushes. So I inherited the habit of using manual scissors from him. Finding a really cut straight blade is a nuisance. After watching several courtyard care, the YouTube video decided to try an electric trimmer. Because of the above experience, I suspect I need to pay $70 for a big one to get one that can really be cut. 24 "(22"?) When I was ready to buy, B&D's was out of stock, so I bought this based on the comments and wondered if it would live up to those comments. I have serious doubts about the low price. A reminder of parting clouds, sunshine and trumpets. Hey, this thing is really cut! In 20 minutes, I cut things with scissors for a few days. The limiting factor is the green dustbin space. There were a few things stuffed up and had to stop. In addition, plastic surgery is easier, so the shrubs look better. I used the 100 'contractor extension cable I bought on Amazon, and I actually bought two different extension cables for different purposes, so I tested both sockets for trimming. The wire fits the hole of the hook, and I have no problem popping out of the rope. Cutting thicker wood branches (maybe about half an inch) is difficult, but this fits the description, so there is no problem. This seems to be a trade-off. In exchange for being very light and easy to handle, you can exchange it.

The trigger handle part is exactly the same as the bar chainsaw kit. I hope we can only buy the head of the hedge trimmer. Now I have two trigger handles. It's nice to reach out, but I want more. The bar chainsaw kit LPP120B comes with an additional ~ 4' extension. The extension in my photo is from another toolkit, not from the hedge trimming kit. As you might expect, the extended pubic end matches the handle very well. However, there is an extra convex piece at the public end, which only fits with the saw head. The head of the hedge trimmer does not have a slot for that label. So, I cut it off. With the label cut off, the extension fits now I have a real 10 'hedge trim.

I don't have this trim for a long time, but so far, it works very well. I have begun to trim my hedges and bushes, some of which are more overgrown than I like and need to be pruned vigorously. In this case, the trimmer needs to cut some thicker branches, which works much better than I expected. Once my hedging returns to the size I want, it's easy to trim new growth and keep it that way! Some people complain about the need to hold on to the safety function of the "trigger" during operation. I like it because I'm not afraid of an accident. I'm a 77-year-old woman who needs a lot of time to rest when doing things like trimming hedges. I can release the trigger, put the hedge trimmer anywhere, and I'll sit down myself. Don't worry about turning it off! I am no longer the most stable person, if I lose my balance, maybe drop the trimmer in the bushes or somewhere, it will close. I like that. The item was delivered in time and well protected in the box of its original manufacturer in the Amazon box. The handle and the safety shield must be connected, but this is easy. Now I hope it can stick to it and continue to work for a long time!

Replaced my shabby hedge trimmer with a new one. Cutting is fine, but the final saw adds more of a problem than a help. The saw blade must have a perfect position to work properly. Hedging is not easy. It also limits the reverse cleaning of cutting and trimming. I wish I had bought a trimmer without that. In addition, there is a good baked D value trimmer.

At first I was skeptical about ordering this product-there was always a lot of talk about how great these cordless devices were. I was going to try a 40 volt unit, but I think I will try the idea of this 60 volt unit (it has no comment), I may return to it, but I have been pleasantly surprised. After using the model a few times, it now works well. It has a lot of power, smooth cutting, meets the requirements, it can easily cut branches more than an inch in diameter, after a few hours of pruning, it will not be too heavy to use. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. I found the only project, in power mode, that took a little time to cut off a thick branch. I hope other people find this very useful.

This is my first electric fence trimmer. It is certainly better than using manual scissors, but I do hope it can handle thicker branches better. My hedge in front of the house is about 15 feet long, about 6 feet high and 3 to 4 feet wide. I cut off the top of the hedge a few feet with a hedge trimmer. Here are my favorite black and Dirk trimmed things. I like 24-inch cutting blades because you can cover a lot of ground fairly quickly and will never buy shorter blades. The unit is light and has a comfortable handle that rotates vertically and horizontally. The fact that it is electric may be more good than bad. Batteries are expensive, have a short life, and are usually underpowered. However, I finally pulled the rope a few times, which took some time to get used to. My biggest complaint is that it really struggles with branches half an inch in diameter or thicker. Take your time and try to get the trimmer to do the work that is not always such a good job. The trimmer will get stuck on the thicker branch. You have to pull it loose and walk toward the branch in different directions. I oiled the blade, but that didn't improve its effectiveness on thicker branches. I hope the trimmer can handle half an inch of branches better. The motor did heat up a little, but I didn't see any sign of overheating. On the whole, I am satisfied with the pruning, but it is not the miracle worker I had hoped for.

Best BLACK+DECKER Hedge Trimmers Buying Guide

Henry Colon
Share post:

BLACK+DECKER offers increasingly versatile hedge trimmers to get work done efficiently. It relieves your elbow grease when trimming the branches and bushes around the house. When choosing the best BLACK+DECKER hedge trimmers, you can find a wide range of options out there. It can be a challenge to choose the right one. If you are ready to buy but have no idea how to do the research, then you are on the right page. This buying guide presents a couple of important factors that you should consider before buying. Read on.

Same as other hedge trimers, the BLACK+DECKER offers wide range of hedge trimmers. They have various features and prices. Choose the reliable product that fit your needs can take some effort. If you have extensive hedging tasks to process, a compact model with consistent power can be considerable. However if you just want to trim a small yard, then a compact size cordless hedge trimmer can be a good option. The general rule is the highest level of value will necessarily cost more. Make sure your investment is worthwhile and it brings great durability.

Trimming size

Think about the yard size when you are looking for a BLACK+DECKER hedge trimmer. As the extension has great impact on which type of hedge trimmer you choose. The larger the yard, it is more likely that you have a lot of trees and shrubs that need trimming. If you prefer a corded model, then you have to take the cord length, power and weight into account. Some models are limited in the length for reliable performance. If you want extended cord for trimming faraway, the power stability is another factor you need to care about. A larger trimmer capable for extensive areas might be too heavy for some customers. Check your body fitness and yard size before making a selection.

Corded or cordless

Corded or cordless hedge trimmer? This is always a question when you are choosing a hedge trimmer. Both have pros and cons so that which to choose depends on personal preference and requirements. BLACK+DECKER cordless hedge trimmers are powered by a lithium-ion battery. It is of great flexibility that enables you to take it anywhere without worrying tangled power cords. When choosing battery-powered models, you have to check the battery running time and recharging time. Some brands provide a hedge trimmer that can last as long as two hours. A backup battery can be prepared when you take it for prolonged tasks. In contrast the corded models deliver continuous power with extension cord. Without built-in batteries, they can be lightweight and easy to handle.

Easy to use

When talking about an easy-to-use tool, we can consider from different aspect. The model should be of compact size and lightweight with ergonomic design. That relieves pain and makes it easier if you have to hold the tool for hours working. The blades and edges design should be suitable and capable to handle the projects as you require.
