It adjusts close to 90 degrees, more like 85. The stem is very well built and looks good too. I had to use the included spacer because my handlebars are 25.4mm diameter, but it clamps well with no squeaks or vibrations. After installing the stem, I can ride upright, my hands don't get numb anymore, and the bike handles better. This is a very nice bike stem!"
